Been chatting to Dogghound about her unfortunate hedgehog tonight and remembered that I wanted to post this piccy of one of my hedgehogs that I took a couple of weeks ago.... 
Something not quite right here eh?!? So the hedgehog natural food (slugs & snails) is eating the hedgehog food and the hedgehog isn't eating them!!!!

Oh, how sweet, dont you love them? By the way, I am still on the lookout for any signs of hedgies. It seems another year will go by without any sightings of them. |

They dont eat them here either, good job too as they are actually quite bad for a hog, they cause lung worm, which is a very bad thing for a hog. They tend to eat the slugs when there is no other food about, the black slugs are the worse though. Hogs with lung worm do develop a smokers like cough, it can be treated but it normally damages the lungs in some way....poor things they are so up against it!
