We've just taken in an abandoned baby hedgehog. One of our dogs disturbed a nest and though we covered it up as best we could, the mother moved all her babies on. When we went back to see if the nest was still safe we found one wandering about on his own.

He's eating tinned prescription diet food as recommended by our vet at the moment and has a massive appetite. His teeth are coming along nicely so we're thinking of trying some wet dog food to see how he gets on.
This is the first time we're reared a baby hedgehog but he fits in nicely with our family and the dogs and ferrets seem to like him! | | |
