| | | Roe Deer Thought you all might like to see what was in the field at the rear of our house this morning: a pair of roe deer.
Deer are a common sight round our way although they're more usually Sika rather than Roe, so nice to see this pair today. |

| | | Re: Roe Deer That's a lovely picture of what must have been a lovely sight for you. I sure wouldn't mind looking out of my window in the morning and being met with such a view. |

| | | Re: Roe Deer Beautiful shot! We have a few round us, who only moved in recently. Local clay mining company have done some "heathland restoration" work on some derelict land behind us, and they seem to like the additional cover. I came face to face with one, only a few feet away over the hedge a few weeks ago. Don't know who was more suprised, me or the deer, but it stood perfectly still for several seconds before wandering off in no hurry. Wish I'd had my camera! |

| | | Re: Roe Deer I think the neighbours are starting to get used to me now
We get quite a lot of Sika deer round this way but the Roes are less common, although one recently swam across from Kintyre to the Isle of Gigha! |

You are not loony .... you are very fortunate to see them and photograph them.
