| | | Re: Orphan Hare Hi
Milo is still doing well!!!
Ive been feeding him hay and some nice dry grass - still isnt bothered about green stuff - but loves his bottles - is taking 2 or 3 lots of 40mls daily and goes at the bottles as if his life depends on it!!
I really love this little guy - he is amazing.....its quite an experience raising Milo! |

| | | Re: Orphan Hare About the mysterious death of infant rabbits/hares at the time of weaning...this website tells why... Wild baby Rabbit Care Part 1 it has to do with gut flora needs to safely digest the green material which babies get from eating the mothers poo, and orphaned rabbits/ hares miss out on if hand raised.
The site quotes research on the topic.
Hope this helps |

| | | Re: Orphan Hare Rohesia- Thank you SO much for that link!!! I hand rear orphaned creatures and often wondered about why Leverettes don't fare so well despite all seeming well. This makes so much sense. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
