| | | Green/brown Lichen Can anyone make anything of this image?
It's a close-up taken at home. The specimen was too far up a dying willow for me to get a habitat shot. It doesn't look in the best of health.

A good starting point as it actually reads rather well based on the little information I have (not in my 2005 Dobson). I'll try for spores today but not optimistic as it looks dessicated.

Here are a couple of images of asci and spores. Spores thick-walled with variously sized oil drops. Size: 15-16 x 9-13µm; perhaps a bit large for Melanelixia?
