| | | Lichen on a twig with black spots ID please I know these things are incredibly difficult to ID without spore info, but the growth formation was fascinating and made for such a good photo that I can't help but ask for assistance with the ID.
Sorry that I cannot be sure of the type of tree that the fallen twig came from, but I was in a mixed broad leaf wood.

I'm no expert, but this could be a Lecanora, possible L chlarotera and Lecidella elaeochroma , forming a nice ring together.
Dobson actually mentions the two together on trees forming a mosaic.
But thats only tentative from me................
