| | | Lichens for identification please A few (I presume) reasonably common ones, I get mixed up with which one is which, even from getting past id's on here. I'm pretty bad on lichens and these unknowns need names in my photo albums! Unsure if Identifiable from my photos alone but will give it a shot. All Northants:
1. On blackthorn Prunus spinosa, Is this a Parmelia species?
2. Also on blackthorn, the whole shrub was coated in blue lichen and also some Xanthoria parietina
3. On an oak twig
4. Any idea on this Cladonia? Growing with Polytrichum moss in mixed woodland

| | | Re: Lichens for identification please You need an expert, so forgive me for sticking my oar in - I just can't resist (another case of lichen addiction?), and hope I'm right here:
1. Parmelia sulcata
2. Physcia tenella
3. More P. sulcata
4. Cladonia fimbriata
