This looked pretty: are there two types of lichen?

Apparently yes. The yellow one is a young thallus of the increasing ubiquitous Xanthoria parietina.

The other, unfortunately, is too out of focus, over-exposed and bleached out to be nameable, by me at least. Normally, with Xanthoria, I might expect a Physcia, but I see no sign of marginal cilia and it doesn't look right for that genus.

Thank you, Alan. It was taken after rain in bright sunshine - that's why I noticed the colour. I'll try again..
