| | | Free lichen ID course The Open Air Laboratories (OPAL) network is funding a free course sponsored by the British Lichen Society on Saturday 26th Feb at the Natural History Museum in London. Quote:
Discover more about lichens and learn how to identify the common species on this one-day course at the Natural History Museum.
The course is run by Holger Thüs, curator of lichens at the Natural History Museum, and Pat Wolseley, Scientific Associate. It will include an introductory talk, a field excursion to Kensington Gardens and an explanation of how to use simple charts and keys to help identify species.
The course is free and is sponsored by the British Lichen Society with OPAL funding.
| For more details, see here.
There is a part 2 to this course on the 2nd April.
Sounds like a brilliant introduction to this group of organisms.
