lichenicolous fungi?
Hello all,

I found this lichen on a rock in a pine forest right next to Loch Garten in the Cairngorms NP (this month). Is the lichen producing fruiting bodies, are the growths lichenicolous fungi or something else?
The pictures are not that great as I only had my old camera with me
Help with ID would be much appreciated.

Hi Rich, I think its a lichen, possibly Baeomyces rufus, wait for experts though!

My Lichens of North America book arrived today so I've looked it up in there to, the book is massive and absolutely stunning!!!
