Help with lichens please
Hi

I took this photo of a lichen last Friday near the harbour at Chichester, and I can't get a positive ID of it from the books or websites. Can anyone help please?



The next pic I'm fairly sure is of Xanthoria parietina. It was on a twig which had been growing in a hedge that had been trimmed - so I took it home and used my little USB microscope on it. At 200x magnification it's quite dramatic!

The first one is a Punctelia but a closer ID isn't possible without knowing what colour the lobes are underneath and then spot-testing the medulla with C ......

Second looks good for X. parietina and yes, they're stunning when magnified!
