| | | Huge unidentified 'lichen'? I don't know the first thing about lichen, and the last post I placed asking for help identifying a tree fungus turned out to be frost beard, so I hope this is the right place for these images!
They were growing on sycamore and ash trees at Tomdoun, just north of Loch Garry in the Highlands. Lichen isn't normally something I pay attention to, but the size of these made me notice them... I am sure that they will be easily identified by lichen fanciers by size alone, but I think they're faiirly unusual. Help please!   |
