Cladonia portentosa - id confirmation please
I think this is Cladonia portentosa. Earlier this year you confirmed an id for C. uncialis, but in this specimen the thallus is more finely branched and forms a denser tighter mat.
Habitat: - damp acid moorland, site of cleared plantation. Photographed 30/08/09. South Uist, Western Isles.
Comments would be appreciated.
