Yet another cladonia!
And its another one, this time growing from a rotting log. Initially hoped it could be Cladonia bellidiflora but don't think so ...... they're driving me to early dementia!

Well ...

Right colour for C. bellidiflora, looks like it has peeling squamules, no sign of soredia, cup-forming but cups not especially wide or well developed, and C. bellidiflora does occur in SW Ireland.

I'm not 100% convinced, but I don't have a better suggestion.

Thanks Alan - though if it looked similar to this but was soriedate which cladonia might that be?

I think I have enough trouble with actual Cladonias without worrying too much about theoretical Cladonias!
