| | | A Crustose Twig Lichen For ID Help Please. Found today, (Lancashire), growing on the branch of what I think is Hazel.
Overall size about 50mm diameter.
Any help towards identification will be much appreciated.
Regards

It is Lecidella elaeochroma - which likes nutrient-rich, smooth-barked trees such as Ash and Hazel.
I see it commonly on young, planted trees in supermarket car-parks - forming conspicuous white patches (often immature) along with Lecanora chlarotera.
