As posch says I'm in a really good lichen area, but there are so many different ones I doubt I'll ever figure a fraction of them. I'm also finding it hard to remember the names of ones I'm recognising - common names stick in my head way better than Latin! |
Hi Jenny, i have trouble pronouncing let alone remembering, the latin names of these

i've made a start on lichens today by posting a picture of one i took a few weeks ago while out with a fellow wabber,(he's probably got the same pics of it as me

he took a few pics of some others we found, but which i did'nt bother with at the time(mistake))
i imagine most of my future finds will be tree growers, as there are not many rocky places around the Sherwood Forest area

which is probably for the best, as i can combine my lichen spotting with my fungi spotting!!
