lichen or fungi id

I took a pic of this around 3 weeks ago because it looked quite graceful and fragile on a tree in the beacons. Is it lichen or fungi and what exactly is it called pls. Thanx

Its one of the Usnea species of Lichen.

Thanx also leifus and deer stalker. I've looked on the net for last half hour for more info however, proving quite tricky. Do you think it's rare ? or is it only rare in the lowlands ?

looking at it again it could be some sort of moss/lichen thing....

and ive no idea if it is rare or not. Sorry

Definatly a Lichen. Probably Usnea florida or subfloridana without the large disc-like apothecia.

Yes I looked up Usnea after your post, looks probable doesn't it. Now off to check out your ids. I had no idea fungi was so facinating

I think you were very close with your second one deer stalker. This pic looks almost identical
