Large lichen

Looks like Parmelia sulcata. The other grey lichen which forms big patches on trees is Flavoparmelia caperata, but this has a much greener thallus which has many transverse wrinkles.

Quite a few big, grey foliose lichens, and we need a closer view to see the surface features.

However, it does look a lot like Flavoparmelia caperata in a dry state to me. (The link shows the variation in colour between fresh and dry.)

Yes, this confirms it is Flavoparmelia caperata.
