Another Lichen that'd I'd appreciate help with the ID. Quite a nice looking one this. Photographed at Hutton Roof Crags a limestone pavement reserve in South Cumbria. Thanks

Not for the first time I am envious of one of Black's lichen photographs.

This is Squamarina cartilaginea - and an excellent representation of very good material.

It is a rather rare species, mostly on harder limestones, and the limestone crags of northern England are its headquarters.
