| | | Spider ID please Sorry for the poor image..This was dangling outside my living room window on a thread..he looked cold so he is now living in my porch..I thought it was a Tegenaria now looking close don't think it is..Will he be ok inside or should I try to find him again and put him out.  |

| | | Re: Spider ID please As a photo it does show all the things you don't need to identify a spider (sorry, K) but I think it is a Tegenaria. Don't worry about it's survival, many species of spider only survive over winter as an egg. The big beasties that roam your house in Autumn are just looking for a lady spider to invest with their genes, so her eggs will carry them over the Winter. |

What threw me is he was out side dangling on a thread a few weeks ago and it went really cold I thought he would freeze to death if I left him out there.
