Strange giant fly
I saw a strange fly in the garden today, I am not sure what it was. It was very large and at first I thought it was some kind of Hornet. It was about the size of a bumble bee however was all black like a fly with a stripe running down its back. It made no sound when it flew either???????

I have never seen anything like it before, does anyone know what it could have been?

I think from pictures it could of been a Horse Fly. It was half an inch to three quarters of an inch long

Looke like it could of eaten a Horse
