| | | Chalkhill Blues
It just goes to show that with good habitat management butterflies can still thrive.

| | | Re: Chalkhill Blues Yep, they are on an old poo. There was just one butterfly on it so I added a drop of water from the bottle I carried with me to make it juicy, sat back with the camera and voila! A butterflies banquet.
I knew it was worth a try because there were loads of freshly emerged butterflies around which needed to take on mineral salts.

The "proper" habitat in question though is a chalk hillside which is the most amazing place for butterflies, orchids and all sorts of other things. It is managed by the National Trust and they do an excellent job, making this, allegedly, one of the best butterfly sites in England.

You should send that to the breathing places / countryfile calender comp? they like something a bit more unusual and people can stare at your oeoeoeoe over their cornflakes while its hanging on their fridge door!

What is a "oeoeoeoe" Dan?
Actually, I think I know .... I used a certain word in a message a few weeks ago and it suddenly became a "oeoeoeoe"!
Well, this is a child friendly site isn't it?

I suspect yours began with a "t" and a "u" given the Richard III clue!
Neither of us used the word beginning "s" and "h" since we are part of a family show .
I want to know how fine ladies like Susie and Kayleigh got away with the "poo" word when were given a "oeoeoeoe" .

Richard | Ahhhh! At last I understand what an oeoeoeoeoe is - first I tried Googling it, but to no avail, then I presumed it was WAB specific and that WABBERS had their own language.
The real reason never occurred to me - I am enlightened. |
