| | | Unknown leaf beetles I think leaf beetles are very beautiful and quite photogenic. Unfortunately they are difficult to identify, so I wondered if anyone could help with these two ?

I also agree that they're difficult to identify
What plants were they on and what size were they - roughly?

Could be, if it were on dock ( Rumex spp..). Which is why I made the point about host plant. With leaf beetles and weevils you're half way (or 25-75%) of the way home when you know what it was feeding on ....

| | | Re: Unknown leaf beetles The first one looks like Chrysolina banksi. This is associated with Black Horehound Ballota nigra. |

| | | Re: Unknown leaf beetles Thank you for the pointers . Doc was in the area for the green beetle, so that's going to be a good shout. I could not say if Black Horehound was there or not, but thanks for the potential lead.
