Beetle ID please!

Has any one any idea as to the identity of this little chap found on the kitchen ceiling a few days ago?. Length approx 3/4 inch long. Is it some sort of longhorn beetle perhaps?. I've scrolled through countless photos but haven't so far found anything similar. Thankyou!

It's probably not, but it looks similar to Oedemera nobilis with those swollen hind legs. I'm sure someone will know though.

I think it is Oncomera femorata which is related to Oedemera nobilis.

I agree with Laurence about O. femorata see, e.g. Tous insectes
I think this is quite an uncommon woodland (?) species in many areas - where abouts in the country are you?

Hello. I'm in the Chew Valley, which is approx 13 miles south of Bristol. Lots of mature trees, and woodland close by. Any ideas where I might find more information it? Googling hasn't produced a great deal of information, only that it may be new to this country (found in a newsletter of the Suffolk moth group dated 2000!).

The map shows plenty of records from the Bristol area.
