| | | Possible Leopard Slug, Limax maximus Could someone confirm that the slug in the photo is Limax maximus, Leopard Slug, please? Or correct me and tell me what it is. It was taking a stroll in the winter sunshine about 5 ft up the trunk of a moss covered tree close to the R Erme in sheltered woodlands, Ivybridge, S Devon. About 3 cm long. Thanks in advance.
Phil

| | | Re: Possible Leopard Slug, Limax maximus On taking a closer look at it and the pictures on the web, it would seem much more likely that it is a Tree Slug - Lehmannia marginata. I should be very grateful if someone could give me an opinion. Thanks.

| | | Re: Possible Leopard Slug, Limax maximus I had a look at this thread a couple of days ago and thought it didn't look right for leopard slug. I am far from being an expert on slugs and therefore cannot suggest an alternative. I am also surprised that no-one else has been on to help you out. Patience......... |
