| | | Are slugs intelligent? First off, apologies if i posted in the worng section..
I was wondering how intelligent slugs are?
I have ground feeder which is about 4 inches off the ground for the birds, and not every nite, but most nites i let the dog out and see at least 3-4 slugs either on or climbing up to get the seed that the birds/squirrels didnt finish off.By the morning around 6 most days there gone.
I dont believe the birds have had them.Do they have watches on , to let them know when to leave and return whence they came?.
please put my mind at rest cheers.

| | | Re: Are slugs intelligent? If by intelligent you mean could a slug win mastermind, complete a rubix cube in under 10 seconds or beat Garry Kasparov at chess then the answer is definitly No.
The answer to this is simple, slugs are noctural, they are molluscs and tend to be more active at night mainly to stop drying out. |

And for Mastermind maybe we have to find the right subject...and work out how to communicate.
