deleting/removing photos

Not sure where to put this, and I know people in this bit of the forums know things, so; is it possible to delete photos which I have uploaded?
I've had a search around and can't see a 'delete' option anywhere. Either there isn't one, I'm looking in the wrong place, or I'm staring right at it and it isn't registering.

There exists no facility user-end to remove uploaded photographs. One reason for this is to prevent broken-links and images with red-X's in the corner, as this often invalidates any useful purpose for the post thereafter.

If there's a particular image you need removing for privacy reasons, then please contact a Mod.
