Can someone please id this damselfly for me? Pic was taken in Wiltshire in May 2006. I can find pics of "similar" but none exactly the same...

| | | Re: Damselfly ID? Yes that spur certainly narrows down the options; and any alternatives are uncommon so Azure is certainly the most likely.
There are a few colour forms of the Azure Damselfly, Wharfrat. |

Here are a couple of images similar to yours
or Azure Bluet (Coenagrion puella)
The top left image on page 76 of Smallshire and Swash is also like these.
Here's one from Wild-woman which has much more blue between the segments
