Records of British Sphecidae

Afternoon all,

I've just been going through a few of my Sphecids, and was just wondering exactly who to send the records to after GiGL.

Any ideas?

I'm sure the LNHS recorder for Hymenoptera would be good who is Ray Uffen at:

ruffen@talktalk.net

In fact I would suggest he is the first person to send London records to as GiGL don't really have the expertise to validate the records sent to them.

Thanks, I hadn't considered the LNHS.

One interesting Sphecid record I have at the moment is a probable Pemphredon austriaca (=enslini), which I don't think has been recorded in London before. It only seems to be known from NW Yorks, Dorset and a few parts of Essex as far as I can tell.

He may be interested, I'll report back.
