Apoderus coryli
The remaining leaves on our hazel trees are still being eaten by numerous Hazel Leaf-roller Weevils - Apoderus coryli.
In the books I have managed to find, the adult insects are described as being found usually until the end of July.
Has the warmer weather resulted in a second generation?
I would be interested if someone could explain why these fit looking adults are around in November!

Hi marilinda,

I'm sorry I cannot answer your question............I'm very envious that you have so many Apoderus. I've been interested in them for many years and never found them in large enough numbers to make any meaningful observations. My maximum is 7 in a week!. Could I ask roughly where you are in the country?
