Tachina fera query and small red-frons'd fly

I promise this is the last posting (!) but I just wanted to check this must be Tachina fera, and to ask if they fly all year round then?


And secondly, is this just a kind of dungfly please? I was googling to try to work it out, and came across a dungfly with a red frons a bit similar. And we do have dungflies on the ivy, but not like this - more or less orange all over.

Your first fly is Tachina fera. They are double brooded, the summer generation persists for quite a long time. Details please.
