| | | Lasioglossum? male red bands Hi,
I'm having trouble with this! It seems to be a Lasioglossum male, but I'm not sure. After much searching I give in, hopefully the orange-red bands and red-brown tarsi are a good clue. Lasioglossum rufitarse is the best "guess" I can make.

Male calceatum usually have some white bands too, and the yellow labrum is broad and more visible. I guess it's possible though.

| | | Re: Lasioglossum? male red bands No question that this is L. calceatum - a very variable species in the male coloration. L. rufitarse is never red marked on the abdomen |

Trying to find photos of L. rufitarse is impossible other than specimens on flickr.. which look to be the same as on boldsystems.. BC_ZSM_HYM_01029 Lasioglossum rufitarse | Flickr - Photo Sharing!
..on boldsystems, the male looks to have some red.. BOLD Systems - Taxonomy Browser
..and on Biolib which looks to be female but showing red on the abdomen. BioLib - Lasioglossum rufitarse - Image
I'm having difficulty seeing the broad yellow labrum too, even lightened I can't see it but it has a lot of hairs over it.
