| | | A slug and beetle for ID Hey Folks!
Found this slug a couple of nights ago in the rain, I think it might be Tandonia sowerbyi ? But that is only by finding the name through Google so I need a confirmation if possible.
Was also wondering whether it had an accident or something, that thing on its tail was sticking out of it, bleeehhhh!
There was also this beetle I found dying on the windowsill, I'm not sure if it has a head or just a small hidden one? Was about the size of a 7-spot ladybird.
Both in Norfolk,
Thank you for looking!

Your slug seems to be right for T.sowerbyii, don't know how long it will survive with its digestive gland etc sticking out.
The beetle looks like a Clown Beetle (Histeridae)... possibly one of the Margarinotus spp?
Regards Chris... |

Regards Chris... | Yes, one of the Histeridae but I don't think you'll get much further on this photo. Interesting beasts - can withdraw their head into the thorax. |

Thank you guys
