ladybird help

Lots and lots of Harlequin Ladybirds flying about today in the sunshine,and many are trying to get through the windows.

My sister found over a hundred (gave up counting then!) inside the double glazed windows of a bedroom. There were all kinds and sizes, black, red, orange, yellow, Harlequin and normal. She thinks they got in through the little vent on the outside. Will try and get a photo!

Had loads of Harlequins down here too, of all 3 sub species, but mostly the 18 spots. Landed mostly on the double glazing and very active in bright sunshine. Looking for somewhere to hibernate perhaps?

They're not actually separate sub-species- just different colour forms.
