| | Re: what are these Interestingly they appear to be the nymphs of the Southern Green Shieldbug, Nezara viridula. This is still a very scarce species in the UK, perhaps forming a colony for a year or so + disappearing. After the last couple of winters numbers appear to be less frequent.
What part of the country are you in? Please let tristanba here on WAB have this record as he is the national recorder for this group of bugs.

In warmer parts of the world they are sometimes considered a pest, but I'd leave them if they were in my garden. Probably not likely to be a major nuisance here. |
