I've had a regular 7-spot with tiny shoulder markings too. |

I've had a regular 7-spot with tiny shoulder markings too. | Scarce 7-Spot is more domed and the large central black marking more oval on shape. There are some more definate underside characters too, though if you find a "7-spot ladybird" in early spring sitting untroubled on a wood ants nest its a pretty good bet that its a Scarce 7-Spot.
