Found in the house yesterday (I think we've more insects inside than outside this year - its like the Addams familys weekend place)

This is one of my wants. Despite plenty of birches around and lots of the insects one might expect I've never found this bug.

Bernard Nau wrote a short paper on bugs feeding on Birch which is included in one of the old Heterptera Newsletters (available on-line).

In my experience Pantilius is most easily found on alder, rather than birch or hazel, so have a look on this foodplant.
