Hello,
Does anyone know of a key or anything to enable the identification of some of the Chrysopidae (Green Lacewings) that come to the moth trap? My Google talents seems to be drawing a blank.

The Field Studies Council do some good guides at reasonable prices.

Brilliant, thanks. I have ordered the Key to British Lacewings and Their Allies.
Only £9.50 including postage. Bit of a faff paying for it though, wish they used Paypal. Hope it comes quickly enough to do my specimen and many others ahead!

It also does Scorpion Flies and a few others.
Relatively easy to follow keys and plenty of general information. No colour photos, but what can you expect for that price.  |

Hello,
This book arrived yesterday and I was very impressed with it for the price!
It also easily allowed me to key out my specimen as Chrysoperla carnea.

Glad to hear it. So, Chrysoperla carnea, eh? I only ever find Chrysopa lucasina here. |

Ah yes, the curve to the distal-tip of the forewing. Mine (all mine, in fact) has a very gentle cusp, rather than an equal curve.
