| | Can anyone tell me what I've been biten by?
In the woods yesterday and got attacked by these lovely creatures. I was stupid enough to take my cardi off for 5 mins to cool down. I'd like to know what liked me so much.
Bless you

| | | Re: Can anyone tell me what I've been biten by? A somewhat similar fly is active at the moment - the Stable Fly Stomoxys calcitrans a biting housefly, ankles a speciality even through socks. I'm not sure this fly is active outside buildings though.
Mozzies are active as well. |

| | | Re: Can anyone tell me what I've been biten by? I've only ever seen calcitrans outside - yearly in my London back-garden, and on a field in farmland. |

The last culprit is stuck to a ceiling light rose having met the near supersonic tip of a wet flannel. |
