| | | Grasshopper for id please We saw this grasshopper/cricket in Ireland and thought it looked a little different, browner, than the ones we're familiar with in Britain. Any ideas anyone? Thanks,

| | | Re: Grasshopper for id please Ideally I would like a close up side shot which particularly shows a hairy bottom edge to the thorax; or total absence of hairs if it is another species.
However, our grasshopper experts are better qualified to tell from these photos. My knowledge of this family is a little bit limited so I need to carefully check everything before making a tentative identification.
