I found this chappie this morning (22 Sept) resting on a leaf of our Sweet Pea, in Staffordshire.
I'm puzzling between an i.d. of Acanthosoma haemorrhoidale or Elasmostethis interstinctus.
It was verging towards 15mm long, which points to the former, and the 'jizz' also points me to the former, particularly the 'bulkiness' of the pronotum.
However, it is lacking the red tips to the pronotum projections, which would suggest the latter.
Can anybody help?
