Just a quickie, are there any specific colour filters that I can stick over a torch that'd mean the insects I go and look at when it's dark don't retract their eyes so quickly?

| | | Re: Lights that don't frighten insects at night (which colour?) Insects are most sensitive to the blue end of the spectrum. A red (or orange) filter should solve your problem. Experiment with these colours. |
