Hi. these two sneaked into my house last night. So I thought a photo was the least they could give me! The first is a small 'house' fly approx 5-6mm. The other I think may be a Chironimidae?

First may be Fannia canicularis, second a mosquito - Culicidae. |

Thank you Jason, I thought the rule was if the wings were shorter than the abdomen = midge, if longer = mosquito. Or have I got that backwards? lol

Male mossies have the fancy head gear.
