| | | Cliffside earwig different? This scuttled away so no great shot sorry, but I just wondered why the cerci (if that's the term?) look different to other earwig shots in the garden? A different species, or just the angle, or ? Help would be appreciated!  |

| | | Re: Cliffside earwig different? its a devil's coach-horse ( Staphylinus olens) he devil's coach-horse is one of around 1000 species of rove beetles in Britain, so-called because they are constantly on the move. The devil's coach-horse is a fast moving beetle which is capable of flight, but prefers to spend most of its life on the ground.
