Nicrophorus beetle?


Found this in the moth trap last night, I'm assuming it's a Nicrophorus burying beetle?

Hi Julian

Yes ,it looks like N.investigator,I don't think I can see any yellow hairs on the thorax,only debris.

The first ever volume of Beetle News 1:1 covers these(and is available as a PDF from the net.

Thanks Jason, I didn't see yellow hairs, just a few mites scuttling around!
