| | | Insect ID request Hello all,
long time lurker, but first time poster, spurred on by a visitor sitting on the radiator beside my desk! Apologies for the quality of the photos, but I only have my phone camera. Does anyone know what it is? The colours are hard to make out on the photo, but it's brown, with a darker mottle and small creamy spots.

Welcome to the forum
It's a moth, and it looks like Amblyptilia acanthadactyla (a species of Plume Moth)

| | | Re: Insect ID request Sorry to come the heavy on your first post but we only allow images uploaded to the WAB Gallery or image library to be used in forum posts. This is so that they don't disappear or turn into something different at a later date.
Glad you got your ID anyway!

| | | Re: Insect ID request No problem!
You may not be able to edit your post later but you can either add the picture in a later post or PM me and I'll add it into your original post.
