The second is Sphaerophoria and if it is definitely male, then S. scripta looks likely. |

| | | Re: A couple of hoverflies for confirmation please. This does seem to be the 'quiet period' at the moment. Between Spring/Summer species and the 'Autumn rush' before temperatures get too low.
I did see one E. balteatus in my greenhouse today but my garden sightings have been low throughout this year.
