Small two-tone metallic green beetle - help pls
This was on the edge of our nature pond today, about the size of a ladybird, with matching cap (vertex?) and cloak (elytra?), and a crumpled... mesonotum? I've googled metallic green beetles but haven't had any joy. A steer would be appreciated, and help with the beetle terminology too, if poss!

Hi Dilly....

The Beetle looks good for Sermylassa halensis.

Here is a diagram of a rough anatomy for a beetle...hope this helps.
