Unidentified Wasp?

Found on the Isle of Lewis, the body of this "wasp" is 25mm long, the antenna are 20mm long

We are assuming it is a wasp of some kind, but its not in any of our reference books, any ideas

Its Urocerus gigas, seems to be quite a few around at the moment.

A Sawfly not a wasp and harmless.

I only said wasp because I know its a huge group and it sort of looked "waspy" to a rank amateur like myself

Re-reading my post it did come across as being a bit abrupt, I can see where you are coming from they do look like wasps.

Male too - no ovipositor, and different colour arrangements to the more often-posted female (which despite similar-sizing is probably more often posted here given the said egg-laying implement appearing more like a stinger).
