Ladybirds.
I have just seen a group of 6 or 7 Ladybirds all huddled together. Is this normal? Why would they do this? Is it something to do with mating?

I have seen them huddling together usually in the autumn in Chrysanthemum leaves where they get the sun. It could be more to do with getting the sun than anything but I don't know for sure.

Mating usually starts in spring when the larvae will get plenty of food, I doubt they would be thinking of reproducing now.
